Your Abundant Life Starts Now
Ephesians 1:3,18 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,…
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints
As Christians, we have a spiritual inheritance that comes with the positional truth that Jesus has obtained for us through His work of redemption. We were unable to stand right before God because all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. However, the blood of Jesus Christ has purchased peace with God for us and obtained every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ for us. It is an inheritance that belongs to all of us when God has chosen to see us in Christ. This includes being a new creation, sealed with the Holy Spirit, the right to become a child of God, seen as righteous, holy and blameless, accepted in the Beloved, empowered by the Holy Spirit for godly living and seated with Christ in the heavenly places besides the Heavenly Father.
John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
We have eternal life, but the abundant life begins on earth now! We have all the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places that belong to us now, and by faith, we are to take hold of this promise that we are able to enjoy the abundant life now.
3 John 1:2 (NKJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Prosperity is more than just materially, though God also wants us to be well-provided for, but God wants us to prosper holistically too, namely spiritually, emotionally and physically. We are prospering spiritually when we have a restored relationship with Him, stay connected with Him and spend eternity with Him. He also wants us to prosper in our soul when we are doing well emotionally and mentally. We do well in our soul when our inter-personal relationships are flourishing, when we have learnt from Him to forgive, extend grace, and not to hold grudges against others who have wronged us. He also desires for us to have a healthy body so that we can serve Him. Therefore, we have every right to all kinds of victory like joy, grace, faithfulness, and blessing. Let us have the courage to claim and enjoy these things!
