We Are Accepted
Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
With our new identity in Christ, we have direct access to God at His throne of grace to find help and mercy in times of need. We know that we have peace with God and are accepted by Him. There is no need to constantly be on the performance treadmill to get his acceptance or attention. He accepts us based on what Jesus has achieved for us and who we are in Christ. We are seen as righteous, blameless and holy because we are hidden in Christ. Presently, that’s how God sees us and not just when we enter eternity. We are able to have faith that He is listening to our prayers when we utter it in Jesus’ name!
Once we have our identity in Jesus Christ it will help us to weather any kind of storm in our lives. This is indeed the best identity to have because it will hold us up regardless whether we are faced with failures or success. We are loved by God. We are the children of God. We have peace with God. We will learn how to draw strength from God daily.
Hebrews 10:22a (NKJV) let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.
We are asked to be real before God by coming before God with a true heart. Don’t be fake! Don’t be pretentious in His presence since He is an omniscient God! He knows everything about us anyway. Come with a genuine faith in God and having that full assurance that He will receive us into His presence 24/7. Let us enter through faith, full of confidence that He will receive us in Christ and be sincere in our conversation.
It is the daily fellowship with God and the constant communication with Him that will cause us to experience His strengthening. We cast all our cares upon Him through prayer. The infusion of God’s grace to stand up under the most stressful and challenging times happens behind the veil. When we allow Him into our hard-pressed situation that’s when we tap into His strength, wisdom, and rich resources. It is a place where our well-being is refreshed, restored, and re-energized daily. It is also a place where we get a word of assurance from Him so that our faith can be anchored in what He has assured us. It is our faith in the faithful God that will cause us not to give up even though we feel as though we are spent.
