Using Our Gifts Is Agreeing with God

1 Corinthians 12:11(NKJV) But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

If we want to move in agreement with God, we need to operate by faith with the gifts of the Holy Spirit that He has distributed to each one of us.

All of us have at least one gift of the Holy Spirit, which is given for the benefit of all. The church body will be blessed when we use our gifts, and some of these gifts will also bless the unbelievers. However, we need to operate in faith and believe that the Lord is using us to minister to others. God is pleased when we minister to one another out of love. We are just a channel or conduit for the gifts to flow. Because we are the body of Christ, God moves through His body, but each one of us must agree to move with Him as He impresses upon us to operate in the gifts by faith.

Romans 8:14(NKJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

We are to be led by the Holy Spirit to operate in the gifts whenever He moves us to reach out to others. We need to stir up the gifts within us through the meditation of the Word and praying in the spirit, and we need to step out in faith as the Holy Spirit leads us through the prompting in the inner man.

The stirring in our hearts by the Holy Spirit to use our gifts is like a fire burning in our hearts, but it is subject to our agreement to do it. He wants us to move in the gifts with Him because this is part of our walk with Him. Therefore, we need to listen to Him and act on what He instructs us even though we may not fully understand it with our natural minds.

There will be times when we lack confidence or feel that we are not good enough because of our lack of understanding that we are accepted by God in Christ, but we can be assured that God will use every one of us as long as we yield or agree to it. When we agree with the prompting and stirring of the Holy Spirit, people are blessed. Therefore, we need to ask ourselves whether what we are about to do is good and beneficial for the person. We will not grieve the Holy Spirit when we are walking in absolute agreement with God.

Ephesians 4:30 (NKJV) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
