Unconditional Love

1 John 4:20 If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar. For if he does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

Understanding the love of God and using the principle of His love will bring peace to our marriage, our family, our work environment, society and the Church.

There will be opportunities to be offended by our spouses’ remarks occasionally. We can either retaliate and have a big fight or we can respond in love because our love for him/her is not based on what he/she has or has not done for us but to deal with the issues gently and restore the relationship based on grace. Always extend grace and mercy to each other.

There is a lot of stress on our children in school because there is a need for them to perform well. Many times, we get frustrated by their results and criticize them or compare them with others. Our foundation should be based on love and grace thus it will keep the parent and child relationship strong. Show them that the foundation is love and your love for them will never change.

There are many people whom we will find difficult to love and accept. We need to love the person and hate the sin that they are doing. Remember that the whole world lies under the influence and sway of the evil one. They are blinded by greed and self- preservation. Pray for them and do good unto them.

James 2:3-9 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?…………. If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

In the eyes of God there is no difference in status and there shouldn’t be any form of discrimination in the Church.

There will be many surprises in heaven because we always think that those who stand in the front of the service or pulpit will be first in line in heaven. It will be the unsung heroes who will be standing in the front line.

It is time that we get real in our relationship with God and each other so as to experience a greater revival in our lives and the Church.
