The Surpassing Greatness of the Power for Those Who Believe

Ephesians 1:19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

We need to grasp this truth that the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus Christ with all the power of the resurrection lives in us! There is an immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of that power in us who believe.

God has given spiritual gifts to us and we know God and work in the realm of the Spirit and faith, we will be able to use these gifts for His glory which needs us to be sensitive and be led by the Spirit of God regarding how He wants to use us and our gifts to bless someone because the Good Shepherd lives in each one of us.

1 Corinthians 12:7-10 To each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good (profit of all).8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.

When we move in the gifts, it is done out of love as the whole chapter of 1Corinthians 12 emphasized. We need to allow the love of God to flow out of love embrace and allow God to be God.

The various gifts are

  • Word of Wisdom
  • Word of Knowledge
  • Discerning of spirits
  • Tongues
  • Interpretation of Tongues
  • Prophecy
  • Gift of Faith
  • Gifts of Healing
  • The working of miracles

All these work of God is possible when we know God is able to carry out the work because He is creator God and is omnipotent. We need to know that God is Spirit and He leads us in the spirit man and with a renewed mind that has the mind of Christ, we are able to allow Him to work through us.
