The Unction To Function In Our Calling

The Unction To Function In Our Calling
Message by Senior Ps Daniel Ho, 4 May 2025, 10am service
Main Passage: 1 John 2:20, 27

  1. How do you perceive the spiritual act of being “anointed” in light of its biblical definition and purpose? What fundamental distinctions exist between this divine commissioning and secular appointments to authority? What tangible significance does this sacred anointing hold for believers today? How should it influence our daily walk with God?(1 John 2:20,27; 1 Samuel 16:1;Luke 4:18-19; Isaiah 10:27)
  2. How can we learn to rely on God’s anointing—not just our own abilities—when making decisions or leading others? Where in your work do you need to trust that the Holy Spirit is teaching and leading you, rather than leaning on your own understanding? Are we stepping into the good works God prepared for us, or are we striving in our own effort? (1 Samuel 16:13; 1 John 2:27b; Ephesians 2:10)
  3. How can we create space in our busy work schedules to better recognize and respond to the Holy Spirit’s leading? In the context of current affairs, do you believe all those in positions of authority have necessarily received God’s anointing? How should we biblically discern this? (1 John 2:27a)
