Main Passage: 1 Cor 13:1-8, Matt 25:21

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
1 Corinthians 13:4-6 (NLT)

  1. Like a diamond, love is multifaceted as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Which aspect do you identify most? Why? Do you find it hard to live out every aspect of love? What is the most challenging to you? Why?
    (Eph 4:2; 2 Thess 3:5; Heb 10:36; Pro 17:9, 20:28; 1 Jn 4:8, 20; Rom 12:9)
  2. What does faithfulness mean to you? In Genesis 39, Joseph demonstrated traits of a faithful person. What are those traits that kept him through life challenges? Have you experienced similar situations like Joseph? What was it like and how did you overcome those challenges? If not, share one trait(s) that you are working on to be effective in your home, work and church?
    (Deut 7:9; Ps 91:1-2; Lk 16:10; Rom 8:28; 1 Cor 1:9; Heb 10:23; Tit 2:12; Gal 5:22)
  3. Cooke said, “True success is not when you outshine others; true success is when the team functions at its full potential.” What are your thoughts on his statement? Overall, do you ‘play well with others? Do you consider yourself competitive or cooperative in working with others around you? How would you bring out the best in others?
    (Pro 2:7-8, 21:21; Ecc 4:9; Ja 3:16; 2 Tim 2:3-7; Col 4:5-6; Heb 13:17)
