The Living Water
Message by Ps Carol Koh, 11 Aug 2024, 10am service
Main Passage: John 4:5-26
“…but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.”
John 4:14 (NKJV)
- In John 4:14, Jesus said to the Samaritan woman “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.” What is the living water that Jesus is referring to? How can we quench our thirst? Jesus’ ministry cuts across all strata of society. Do you have any prejudice towards certain groups of people?
(Isa 49:10, 55:1; Ps 107:9; Jn 6:35, 7:37-38; Rev 7:16) - John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth”. What do you understand by this? Is worship about a location or format? If not, what is true worship to you? How would you demonstrate true worship in your home, work, and church?
(Rom 1:3-4, 12:1-2; Ps 118:4; Jn 6:63; Phi 3:3; Col 2:5, Gal 6:7-8) - 1 John 1:5 “God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all.” What do you understand by this statement? Share your thoughts. What does walking in the light mean to you? How can we walk in the light of Christ? Share an example.
