Strategic Partnerships
Message by Ps Carol Koh, 12 May 2024, 10am service
Main Passage: Acts 15:36-41, Ephesians 4:15-16
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is
healthy and growing and full of love.”
Ephesians 4:16 (NLT)
- Do you think strategic partnership is key to a successful church ministry? Are you a strategic partner to your pastor or co-workers? Conflict is inevitable. Do you confront or avoid conflict whenever it arises? How do you manage conflict when it arises? Have you encountered conflicts in your ministry or work that it left you bitter and angry? How did you resolve it? What could have caused Paul to change his mind about Mark and requested for Mark’s help in the ministry?
(Col 4:10; 2 Ti 4:11; Phm 24; Heb 10:24; Ja 4:1; Phi 1:27; Pro 10:12, 15:18, 16:28) - Cooke said, “There is strength in the Body of Christ when each part of the Body works in conjunction with every other part.” Do you agree? How can you work with others within the church? Paul mentioned people who ministered to him, comforted him, encouraged him, and refreshed him. How does your conduct provide that type of support to those for whom and with whom you work? Can your pastor say of you what Paul said of Mark: “He is profitable to me for the ministry?” If so, why? If not, why not?
(Eph 4:11-15, 6:7; 1 Cor 3:9, 16:15-18; Ecc 4:9;1 Thess 5:11; Gal 5:13-15, Pro 25:13) - “Maturity is the ability to see and act on behalf of others”. Do you agree with this statement? Share your thoughts. What can you do to make yourself more profitable, beneficial, and useful to your pastor for the work of the ministry? What are the attitudes, traits, or characteristics you have right now that would make you more of a liability than an asset to your pastor?
