Resting Under His Wings

Main Passage: Psalm 91 (NLT)
- In your daily life, what things—whether work, social media, anxiety, or even comfort—are quietly inviting your heart to “dwell somewhere else”? How can you return to making God your true dwelling place, rather than treating Him as an “emergency power bank” that you only turn to in a crisis? (Psalm 91:1–2;John 14:20)
- True rest is not escaping reality—meaning that God does not promise to remove all dangers from our lives, but He does promise to be with us in the midst of them. What “wilderness” are you currently facing—whether pressure, temptation, or uncertainty? Are you trying to escape it, or are you learning to rest in God’s presence within it? How does that kind of rest change the way you view your difficulties? (Psalm 91:3-6)
- The foundation of God’s promises is not our troubles, but our love for Him. Have you ever found yourself coming to God only when you are in trouble? When life is going smoothly, does your attitude toward God grow cold? In your experience, what is the biggest difference between seeking God out of love and seeking God merely out of need? (Psalm 91:14–16; Mark 12:30)
