Made New In Christ
Message by Ps Carol Koh, 3 March 2024, 10am service
Main Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
2 Cor 5:17 (NLT)
- Christ’s love compels us to live for others and to action. What is your understanding of this compelling love in v. 14? How can we live for others? What do you think Christ is compelling you to do?
(Ps 32:1-2; 1 Jn 2:5, 3:16, 5:2; Rom 6:8; 1 Cor 9:16; 2 Cor 5:15, 6:4-6; Phi 1:21-23; Gal 2:20) - Paul said those who receive this new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ. Is it easy to live out this new life in Christ? Why and why not? How can we experience this renewed life in Christ? There is a constant struggle between the “old man” in the flesh and the “new man” in Christ. Do you agree with this statement? How do you overcome your struggles in the flesh “old man”?
(Is 49:8; Jn 1:4, 3:36, 6:48; Rom 6:3-5, 7:6; 1 Pet 1:23; 1 Jn 4:4, 5:12; 2 Cor 5:17; Gal 3:26-27; Col 2:9-15) - In v.20, why do you think Paul urged us to be ambassadors for Christ? Is it an important responsibility for every believer in the church? Why and why not? How can we live as ambassadors for Christ? In what ways?
