Prayer Requests

  1. Pray for In Christ Singapore, for the mission of the church. Pray that we be a church that welcomes the presence of God; and strong in prayer and worship.
  2. We pray for the situation in Ukraine. We pray for a peaceful resolution over the land. We seek comfort and strength over the lives of those affected by the acts of violence. We pray for wisdom upon the leaders to manage the volatile situation.
  3. We pray for our church members to be in good health and God’s protection upon their lives. We pray that each and every one of us can continue to be salt and light among our colleagues, families and friends.
  4. Pray for the upcoming M’Hub. That it will be a place for us to connect with the community and be the blessing that we are called to be. We pray for connection points to engage the community and to see lives transformed as they encounter God’s love.
  5. Pray for the Sunday service. For God’s presence and Spirit to be among us. Pray for protection on the children at Kids Church and the youth at Youth gatherings.
  6. Pray for the upcoming Alpha Day session at the Activity Centre, and the core team. For people to be saved and people to encounter God and grow deeper in their faith.
  7. Pray for Ps Daniel and our mother church in SH. For God’s protection and wisdom in the midst of this time. For them to be able to reopen their on- site services.
  8. Pray for our leaders, board members, cell group leaders and ministry heads. Pray for the wisdom and protection of God to be upon them.

Sermon Discussion Questions

  1. Review what Godly wisdom is as stated in James 3:17. What do we understand by a wisdom that is “full of mercy and good fruits”? What is it like to be someone filled with a wisdom that is full of mercy?
  2. When we are filled with Godly wisdom, we bear much good fruit. Can you name someone manifesting an abundance of good fruits in his life? What is special about such a person? Do you think you are bearing good fruit as well? What can you continue to do to live a life walking in Godly wisdom?
  3. God’s wisdom is without partiality. What is wrong about showing partiality? We see in Acts 10:34-35 that God shows no partiality and accepts all who fear Him and does what is right. What does this mean? How does this govern how we treat others?
  4. What is hypocrisy? What does God have to say about hypocrisy? Instead of living two different looking lives in public and in private, what can we do that will please God?
