Growing Together In Christ
Message by Tan Chin Tuck, 15 Feb 2026, 10am service
Main Passage: Ephesians 4:1-16
- In Ephesians 1:18-19, what is the “inheritance” Paul refers to? What do you understand by the “immeasurable power” given to us? From Ephesians 1:22-23, how does God intend for us to use this “inheritance” and “immeasurable power”? In light of this, what do you understand about the “calling that we have been called” (Eph 4:1)? What does “fullness of Him who fills all in all” look like to you? (Ephesians 4:1; 1:18-23; 1:5; 2:21-22)
- According to Ephesians 4:7-8, to whom does Christ give these gifts? What is the purpose of these gifts? Do you think the church can function effectively and fulfil the Great Commission if one or more of these gifts are absent? Is it healthy for one gift to be more prominent over the others? Why or why not? (Ephesians 4:7-8, 11-15; Matt 28:19-20)
- Review the APEST gifts individually. Based on the descriptions, what do you think are your primary and secondary gifts? Discuss with your cell group. Do others see gifts in you that you have not recognized? How can you use these gifts to help your cell group and the church grow into the fullness of Christ? What challenges might arise when working with people who have different gift orientations? How can we overcome these challenges and maintain unity as one body? (Ephesians 4:11-16; 4:2-6)
