- What is the significance of dedication? Do you think it is necessary to dedicate our church, our workplace, our schools, and our homes to God? How about dedicating yourself as a living sacrifice to God?
(Ex 40:34-38; Ezra 6:1-22; Lev 22:18-25, 27:28; 1 Sam 1:11; Rom 12:1-2) - Solomon and the Israelites brought extravagant amounts of offering and sacrifices to the Lord. Why do you think they are willing to do so? What motivates them to give sacrificially? How would you apply this same principle in today’s context?
(1 Chron 21:18-28; 2 Sam 24:18-25; 1 King 8; Lev 1:3; Ezr 6:16-17; Neh 12:27-43) - Why do you think Solomon chose to consecrate to God? Is it important to consecrate our lives as living sacrifices? What is your understanding on presenting yourself as living sacrifices in Romans 12:1-2? What happened when you host the Presence of God? Are there any areas in your life that you need to re-dedicate to God?
