Main Passage: Hebrews 10:19-25
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
Hebrews 10:23-24 (NLT)
- What is this confidence that is described in Hebrew 10:19-21? God gives us confidence in His Word. Why is this confidence in Him important? In v.21, who is the Great High Priest and what did He do? On what basis can we enter God’s Presence confidently?
(2 Cor 3:4-6; Heb 4:14-16; Eph 3:11-12; 1 Jn 4:17, 5:14: Titus 3:5-7) - What is the confession of our faith? What does it mean to you? How can we continually walk in this confession of faith? In v.22, we are to draw near to God with a sincere heart with the full assurance of faith. How can we experience the full assurance of faith? In what ways? What is the result of persevering in the confession of our faith?
(1 Jn 1:9: Heb 12,14; 13:15; Rom 6:3-4; Eph 2:10, 4:22-24; Jer 31:33; Ezk 36:26–27) - In v.24, “Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.” Why do you think this is an important responsibility for every believer in the church? How can we spur one another towards love and good work? What will happen if every believer fulfills this responsibility?
