Our Data Privacy Policy

This Data Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis which In Christ Singapore (“we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”). This Policy applies to personal data in our possession or under our control.

Personal Data

Personal data refers to data, whether true or not, about a member and / or worshipper who can be identified:

(a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, some examples of personal data which we may collect from you include name, residential address, email address, telephone number, gender, date of birth, marital status, nationality, race, photograph(s), video footage(s).

 

Collection, Use & Disclosure Of Personal Data

Generally, we will collect personal data directly from the individuals. We may collect your personal data when (a) it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party who has been duly authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us (your “authorised representative”), after (i) you (or your authorised representative) have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected, and (ii) you (or your authorised representative) have provided consent to the collection and usage of your personal data for those purposes.

Personal data collected may be used for any or all of the following purposes:

Providing pastoral care and support;
Connecting you to a cell group as part of your time in ICSG;
Organising activities, programs, events and training to support your spiritual growth whilst in ICSG;
Informing you of any upcoming, and updating on past — activities, programs, events and training;
Verifying your identity;
Responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applications, complaints and feedback from you;
Effecting other ministry and church management/administration;
Any other purposes for which you have consented to provide your information for.

We may share your personal data with relevant ministry leaders, staff, volunteers, partners or other organizations, for fulfilling any of the purposes stated above.

We may also disclose your personal data, without notifying you, to outside entities if required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Conform to the law or comply with any legal process served on ICSG;
Protect and defend the rights or property of ICSG; and
Act under exigent circumstances to protect the safety or physical or mental health of members, visitors, staff and volunteers of ICSG, or the public.

Withdrawal Of Consent

The consent that you provide for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data will remain valid until such time it is being withdrawn by you in writing. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop collecting, using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above by submitting your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.

Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time (generally 30 calendar days) for your request to be processed and for us to propagate the necessary changes.

Protection Of Personal Data

We will adopt reasonable security arrangements to protect the personal data in our possession or under our control (whether in physical or electronic form), in order to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks, and the loss of any storage medium or device on which personal data is stored.

Accuracy Of Personal Data

We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representative). In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, we will conduct periodic information update exercises. You may also submit any updates to your personal data in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.

Retention Of Personal Data

We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws. We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or ministry purposes.

Transfer Of Personal Data Outside Singapore

ICSG shall only transfer personal data to a country or territory outside Singapore when required for ministry purposes. Such transfer shall be done in a manner that is secure and appropriately aligned with the requirements prescribed under the PDPA (2012).

Change Policy

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time in compliance with local legislation, and for any other purpose deemed reasonably necessary by ICSG.
