Nothing Is Hidden from God

2 Cor 5:11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.

The holiness of God is a topic that is seldom taught these days, which is why there is no fear of God in the world today. While we know that God is a God of grace, He is also a holy and righteous God. Yes, He has judged the sin of the world on Jesus Christ when He hung on the cross and dealt with the sin issue forever, but what is left for an unbeliever is eternal condemnation when we reject the only way, the truth and the life through Jesus Christ.

While our conscience can be seared because of the habitual sin and the intentional rebellion against God, it doesn’t mean that there will be no judgement in future. Hell is real, and we will not be able to hide anything from God though we might be able to put up a facade in front of everyone else. There will come a day where all the skeletons hidden in the closet will be revealed, where at the great white throne, there will be remorse, anguish and speechlessness because everything will be too late. As our thought life, hidden actions and motives are all plain to God, it is important for us to repent and to call on the name of Jesus when we still have the opportunity to do so while here on earth.

Although it is the responsibility of the unbeliever to make the decision of whether to receive Christ, there must also be a messenger, especially in places where the names of Jesus have not been heard. How can they call upon the name of Jesus if there is no messenger? Therefore, how beautiful are the feet of those who bear the good news of Jesus Christ! Who shall go forth to bring the good news to those who are yet to be saved? Whom shall the Lord send?

The answer is that all of us are called and mobilised by God, because He has commissioned us in His last commandment before He was lifted up to heaven.

Matt 28:19-20 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
