Make It A Habit to Dwell in God’s Presence

Psalms 84:10-11 (NKJV) For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

It is such a blessing to be able to stay in the presence of God. It is in the presence of God that we are reminded He is our shield. He is faithful like the sun that rises daily, and He gives life. He will grant grace and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly. The glory is His presence with you wherever you go. Remember, it is in the courts of the Lord where His presence is and that’s where we are blessed.  It is better to sit with an omnipresent God where all wisdom flows than to be in the presence of 1000 secular gurus!

In the presence of God is the fullness of joy and pleasure evermore because He gives the assurance. Faith will rise in His presence.  It is in His presence where there is infinite wisdom because you are communing with Him and there is a transfer of wisdom from the Lord to you. It is not human wisdom but a higher form of wisdom that works. It brings faith and confidence when you know that He is with you and for you. It is such an assurance.

Our hearts are open to the Spirit of God when we worship in spirit and in truth. We are to tune in to what He has to say when we soak in His presence. At the same time, we need to allow the Word to abide in us because the Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. The Word coupled with the leading of the Holy Spirit will lead us in the path of righteousness. We would want and desire to live in the will of God and be yoked to Christ.

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Let God infuse us with grace for life and strengthen our hearts as we choose to worship instead of looking at the circumstances. These unseen things happen when we are in the spirit of praise and worship.

Let us arise, and do what Ruth Ward Heflin said in her book “Glory: Experiencing The Atmosphere Of Heaven”, to “praise…until the spirit of worship comes. Worship… until the glory comes. Then… stand in the glory”.

Habakkuk 3:18 (NKJV)  Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
