Go and Tell Them About Jesus
God has given us the responsibility to share the gospel and effectively reach our own generation.
Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayed to God for Israel is that they may be saved.
Paul mentions that his heart’s desire and he prays for his fellow citizens to be saved. We also need to have this desire to see our loved ones saved and pray for them.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
Yet, our loved ones cannot call upon the Name of the Lord if they have not heard about Jesus. Someone needs to tell the ignorant about the salvation plan of God!
The preacher is not talking about someone who is in full time ministry but rather someone who proclaims, heralds and publishes the Good News to them! God is sending you out!
John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
God has chosen and appointed every one of us to go forth and bear fruit. God is always with us when we preach the gospel because it is foremost in His heart and He promised that He’ll be with us to be our partner as you share the gospel. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict the people of sin, righteousness and judgment so don’t worry about the outcome when you share the gospel.
2 Corinthians 5: 17 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
God has entrusted the ministry and the Word of reconciliation to you and you. It is as though God is pleading through us, His compassion, His mercy, His grace for the people who live around you, who work with you, and who live with you to be reconciled to God.
People are constantly struggling with the fear that their best is not good enough. The good news is that Jesus has fulfilled the law! They just need to rest on Jesus and His accomplishments for us!
Romans 1-:9, 10 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This is the wonderful good news that we are to go out and preach and whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
