Blessed To Be A Blessing
John 16:13 (NKJV) However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
1 John 2:20,27 (NKJV) But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
In the Old Testament, the children of Israel could only hear God through the prophet. They needed the high priest to sprinkle the blood of the sacrificial lamb on the mercy seat for their sins to be forgiven that year. After the death of Jesus Christ, the veil that separated the Holy of Holies was torn from the top to the bottom.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We can now come boldly to His throne to commune with Him and seek His face. After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and their followers. He lives in every one of us today. He is our Comforter, Helper and Teacher who guides us in every step in our daily walk with Jesus. We can now know God and understand spiritual things through the understanding given to us by the Holy Spirit.
1 Cor 3:16 (NKJV) Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Rom 8:14 (NKJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Our body is the temple of God when we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. God redeemed us with the blood of Christ so that He can have close fellowship with us. He can lead us and speak to us when the Holy Spirit lives in us. This is the very intent of God regarding His work of redemption.
Acts 1:8 (NKJV) But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The Holy Spirit now resides in us, as God operates through us in the New Covenant. When we are empowered by the Holy Spirit, we become a channel for the Lord to minister to the people around us. It is God’s desire for people to be saved! We are His ambassador in this broken-down world.
Mark 16:16-17 (NKJV) And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.
The intent of the Abrahamic covenant was to ensure that all the families of the earth would be blessed to have their individual lives restored with the Lord. We are the beneficiary of the Abrahamic covenant. The New Covenant paved the way for the whole world to have a covenant with God through the blood of Jesus Christ! God in His marvelous plan redeemed mankind and empowered all His disciples with His anointing to minister to the lost and preach the gospel to them.
God has raised up the church to preach the gospel, pray for the sick, cast out demons and bring in the harvest! We are God’s covenant partner and we need to carry the burden of our covenant partner to preach the gospel so that all the families on the earth will be blessed.
