Paying Dearly for Earthly and Demonic Wisdom
Leviticus 19:31 (NKJV) ‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
The spirit realm is real. It is unfortunate that some Christians have sought ungodly and even demonic wisdom during times of tribulation. When a Christian seeks to consult mediums, fortune tellers, tarot cards, astrology, new age movements, geomancy etc., they are opening themselves to the spirit world and the oppression of the evil one. The familiar spirits are fallen angels who have lived amongst us for a long time. Although they are not omniscient, they have been around for a long time and have observed our lives and are therefore able to tell us what has happened. They might even tell the person a lie regarding the future because the person who is consulting them is open to their opinions. We are made to believe because we have sought after their opinions. People want to know the outcomes of their businesses, jobs and the future. These could be highly educated and influential people who have opened themselves up to the devil. We need to remember that these spirits have no right to enter our lives and families unless we allow them because we have the right and authority over our lives. It is very tempting to have a quick fix without the need to submit to the Lord and to walk in obedience. It is a trap!
When someone including gullible Christians open up their lives to these spirits through consultations with mediums/fortune tellers etc., they will believe whatever is revealed to them and associate it with their current situations. Very soon, they will buy into the advice and things said by the familiar spirits. Then they will unknowingly be led into fear, oppression and obsession. They will invest money to buy other products and services rendered. They might even make illogical decisions out of fear. Sometimes, there might be remarks that the spouse or the child is a curse to the individual and the business! The devil has nothing good in him. He is full of darkness and evil. The intent of his work is to kill, steal and destroy. A person who has opened themselves up to such demonic wisdom will become superstitious and fearful of many things. These could include words that they believe will bring bad luck or a curse, or they could even be fearful of how things need to be arranged in certain ways (feng shui) to bring good luck. They become very critical of people and harsh towards those they think have brought so-called bad luck or bad fortune all because of the advice of some earthly and demonic wisdom. They can be deceived into parting with huge amounts of money for services in order to ward off evil or bad omens. All these will destroy families if they react and respond to every advice because they have opened themselves up to earthly and demonic wisdom. There will be confusion, fear, oppression, envy and every evil once we open ourselves to the wrong spirits, mediums or whatever forms that are not of God. We need to repent, renounce the association with these practices and cut off all ties with the mediums or fortune tellers. Return to the Lord!
We only need to seek God and His wisdom as a child of the living God.
