God Supplies and Multiplies Your Seed

Pride holds us back from acknowledging that God is the source of our provision, but we need to remember that it is God who gives us life — nobody can work or make money unless God has given them life.

Second, nobody can obtain a right standing before God based on their own strength.
We have been given the imputed righteousness the moment we received Christ into our lives. Our salvation has absolutely nothing to do with our good works and is purely the grace of God. It is God who has redeemed us through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Third, it is God who has given us the ability to obtain wealth so that He may establish His covenant.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (NKJV) And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Because God is a God of covenant, He operates within the covenant relationship with us. Everything is shared in a covenant relationship, including material goods and wisdom. Therefore, in honouring His covenant, God provides for our daily necessities, and jobs or businesses so that we can provide for our families. The way He provides for us is based on His calling for us and the gifting that He has given us. For instance, He has given some of us sharp business acumen and others skillsets for their work. If God is truly our provider rather than people, then we can be unmoved and content in any circumstances because our trust will be fully in the Lord. All believers should establish this principle as a strong foundation for their lives to ensure that they will not compromise with the world when they are under pressure!

2 Corinthians 9:8,10 (NKJV) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work….Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

It is God who supplies the seed, which refers to money, and it is also God who multiplies the seed that we have sown. So how does God provide for us? His provision is dependent on our tithing and freewill offering where we exercise our faith in trusting in Him. It is what the “sowing” and “multiplying” in this passage are referring to, and also the opening of the “windows of heaven” in Malachi 3:10 upon our obedience in tithing. These are two avenues for the Lord to ensure that we will always have all sufficiency and an abundance for every good work.
