Are You Feeling Rejected or in Pain?
Hebrews 4:15-16 (NKJV) For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We are all humans who need comfort, consolation and encouragement whenever we are hard pressed on every side, persecuted, perplexed and cast down. Jesus is able to empa-thize and sympathize with us because He had gone through tremendous sufferings when He was on earth.
Jesus was rejected by His own people although He came specifically to fulfill the covenant. He ministered and cared for His covenant people, but they ended up chanting “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”. Jesus is able to empathize with those who feel rejected by their peers and countrymen. In fact, He has resolved our rejection problem by giving us the best security that we can ever attain by having us hidden IN CHRIST so that we are accepted in the Be-loved!
Jesus was rejected on the cross so that we are accepted in the Beloved. Jesus was made ashamed for our sins so that we are covered in His love. Shame was upon Jesus so that righteousness is upon us today. God is able to understand the rejection in our lives and has given us the best security of being seen IN CHRIST. All the earthly security established on wealth, fame, and power is temporal. It is an insecure platform. The highest and unshaka-ble security is being a child of the living God and seen to be accepted in the Beloved. Let us not allow the opinions of men to affect our security but focus on the highest affirmation that comes from God. God is the lifter of our heads. He has taken us from the miry clay and set us upon the rock!
Jesus was whipped 40 stripes minus 1 before He was crucified therefore He is very familiar with pain and physical sufferings. Some of us might be suffering physical pain and it is al-most unbearable. Jesus understands.
You may have gone through a few rounds of sicknesses or illnesses. You may feel tired and worn out. You are not alone and Jesus is able to empathize with you. Let us come before God, the healer. Let us present this sickness or illness to the Lord. Let us also remember that Jesus has taken all the sicknesses and curses on the cross of Calvary.
He is present with us and willing to journey with us. The same Jesus who healed the lepers, the lame, the blind, the woman with the issue of blood, and raised Lazarus from the dead, is also our God. May the healing power of God flow from the crown of our heads to the soles of our feet.
May the yoke destroying, burden removing power of God move within our bodies to bring about the restoration of health to us. May the Lord also use medical sciences, treatments and procedures and the medicines that we are taking to bring about complete healing to our bodies. Hand it over to the Lord. Let God take control of the situation. He is El Shaddai, God Almighty.。
