Have Visionary Leaders
Proverbs 29:18 (NKJV) “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.”
The Bible tells us that without a vision, the people perish or cast off all restraints and therefore, a man will do what is right in his own eyes. All spiritual work must have a vision and led by people who are passionate about the vision.
Without visionary leadership, people do not know where they are going and they become tired. They will start losing their way, murmuring, complaining and eventually giving up.
A vision is something that you can see. It is visible. The word “vision” includes many things: insight, revelation, unveiled secret, prophecy and dreams. It contains plans, objectives and tasks. It provides us with patterns and models, so that we have something to attain, accomplish and reach for.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV) “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
A vision is not a method, mathematical formula, a way to do things in a mechanical way or a copy of something that others are doing.
Although methods or the intricate details of how to fulfill the vision generally help, the most important thing is the vision is the end goal! Anything that does not come in line with fulfilling the vision, we will forgo it even though it sounds like a great idea.
A vision is a word from God. Revelation means that something was hidden, but now, it has come into light. Revelation and vision are the same thing. God will give the blueprint for it to be fulfilled.
A vision is like a target for an archer to take aim. Without the target, it will be a stray arrow, which lands on the ground without hitting anything!
There are three steps to a vision completion:
1) It is to be received
2) It has to be communicated
3) The people have to accept and cooperate with it.
The human eye will never be able to see what God wants us to see, but when we enter into the dimension of faith, the Spirit begins to bring clear images to our lives and our minds. He feeds us and motivates us to be conquerors. This is the reason that when we dream, it feels like we are present in the dream. When we enter God’s world the same thing happens, and we begin to receive His dreams.
The only way to have God’s dreams is if the Spirit brings His revelation to our lives and this is something that only occurs because our spirits are united with the Spirit of God. It is not by human effort or power; it is only by the unity of our spirits with His divine presence. When that happens, we are able to receive, communicate and cause people to accept and cooperate for the completion of the vision.
