How We Should Handle Demon Oppression
Ephesians 1:20-21 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Ephesians 2:5-6 Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Christ is seated in the heavenly places at the right hand side of God. As joint heir with Christ, you are seated together with Him, far above all principalities and power that once influenced or tormented you. They have no power to influence, oppress and torment you in any way because you are seated with Christ and vested with the power. You are able to defeat them or command them to depart.
We are also heirs of all things—heaven and earth, time and eternity, anything that you can conceive of. Christ’s authority extends to all. As His co-heirs, our rights and our property extend to all things.
Jesus is not physically ministering on earth today. But He moves through His body—the church. He is the head of the church. He has given the authority to the church with the vested authority to deal with demonic activities and take authority over them. If you feel oppressed, tormented by horrific dreams or pressed down by some force in the middle of the night, take up the authority of the name of Jesus and command the oppression to leave and the peace of God to fill you up.
Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.
When Jesus ministered on earth, He rebuked the evil spirits and casted them out. Now, God has given each one of us the authority to use the name of Jesus. With the position that we have as the body of Christ, we have the vested authority to use the name of Jesus as long as you are a believer! Demons will subject to that name, the name of Jesus!
