Faith Says I Have It

Heb 11:1,6 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hoping for something is not faith. Faith says I have it. Faith and fear cannot co-exist because we will either be in faith or in fear. Jesus has been teaching the people in the presence of the disciples the importance of listening to the Word. The Word of God is always referred to as seed. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God.

Luke 17:5-6 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

When we allow the Word of God to grow in our lives and cause faith to arise within us to trust in God, our testimony will draw praise from men to God’s faithfulness. With the word of God in our hearts, it gives substance to our faith despite not seeing the promise coming to pass yet but we believe by faith that it is done.

Our revelation of who Jesus is very important to our journey of faith.

Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,11So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

We need to know that we have heard from God, putting the Word into practice, and resist to be affected or moved by the circumstances.

Faith is apart from our senses. Faith deals with the future and with the unseen, the regions not entered by direct physical senses. There is a temptation to confuse faith with feelings. Faith is trusting God and God alone.

Pray daily that we will be anchored in His Word, as it is in hearing God that our faith will not be shaken.
