Be Blessed
Deu 8:17-19 Then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’ “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.
God will provide for us to have enough. When we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these things will be added to us. Believe that God is our provider and do not follow the ways of the world!
Many people come to church and pray for a breakthrough in their lives, but because they only seek the hands of God and not His face in their daily living, we will usually not see them back in church when their circumstances have turned around. Their priorities tell us that they believe their hands and their wisdom have given them success. However, when they begin to follow other gods, such as money, they will eventually come to a dead end, and if they do not sort out their lives, they will probably end up in a mess again!
As Christians, we have to understand that there is nothing wrong with being blessed and to be rich in every aspect of our lives as long as we stay humble by acknowledging that all that we have and possess belong to God and He is the one who has blessed us when we walk closely with Him. We need to continue to honour God in good and bad times, because in bad and challenging times, we know and are convinced that God will turn it around because He is the source of our blessings.
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Let us not just prosper in one aspect but in every aspect of our lives. We should be prospering spiritually in our walk with God when we walk in His ways out of obedience, and we should prosper in our soul when it comes to our inter-personal relationships with our spouse, children and friends. We should also strive to be in good health. It pays to walk in God’s obedience!
