God Wants To Hang Out With Us Daily
God did not create us as robots without feelings. Instead He created us to be able to love and be loved and for communion. However, realistically speaking, it takes some time to translate our religious thoughts about God into a relationship with Him. It is a deep Father and son or daughter relationship.
God wants to connect with us eagerly even when we have sinned against Him because He treasures our relationship.
Genesis 3:9 – Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
Luke 19:10 – For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Adam and Eve were blessed to have communion with God; they walked through the garden enjoying His creation and even shared with God the names of all the animals. Unfortunately, that blessed state of communion was broken when Adam and Eve fell into sin.
However, Jesus came to seek and to save those who are lost so as to restore this hanging out relationship for eternity because He loves your company. God, the Heavenly Father, wants to have communion with us.
Hebrews 10:22a – Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith
James 4:8 – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
We can have confidence to draw near to God because our sin conscience has been cleansed by the blood of Christ. As we are hidden in Christ, God sees us as righteous, blameless, holy and accepted by Him. We are able to draw near to God daily and He has given us the assurance that He will be there with us.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
It is comforting to know that we can find God when we seek Him. However, the question is, are we seeking Him?
There is actually a positive “dissatisfaction” in our hearts that we can know God more but the flesh often hinders us from seeking God.
There can be a divine exchange every day of our lives. Have a stroll in the garden, speak to Him and appreciate creation. Stand in awe of God. He is able to give you solutions to your problem, and has the power to deliver and help you but you must first hang out with God.
