Have Faith and Not Doubt

Have you heard about the 13th tribe of Israel, called the “Cannotnites”, which mens no matter what adventure in life God brings us to, we will always say “It CANNOT be done!” Sometimes, we come up with 1001 excuses in our lives because of fear. Fear is a “dream thief” who will steal the vision, dream, and calling that God has given you. It will tell you to quit and say that it is impossible. In fact, fear and doubt are “good friends”. If we are not cautious, we could talk ourselves into defeat when we begin to doubt and believe in what we see, feel, hear, and sense more than our faith in God and what He has spoken to us. We must not have a grasshopper’s mentality.

The question in life is not “How big is the problem?” But, “How big is my GOD and has He spoken a word of promise?”

When the men who spied out the land came back to give the report to Moses and Aaron, they were in fear because they saw the people of the land as giants and believed that they were much stronger than them. Caleb however, was different from the rest because he had a different spirit. He had the spirit of faith and resolute covenantal faith in God.

Numbers 14:24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.

God was pleased with him. Caleb knew that with God on his side they will be able to overcome the giants in the land! In his heart and mind, his God is bigger, greater, and mightier than all the enemies and fortified cities placed together.

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

So have faith and not doubt, just as what Caleb did. It is through faith in God that we can be conquerors in every aspect of our lives.
