Submission To God’s Authority

Submission To God’s Authority
Message by Rory Lin, 7 Jun 2026, 10am service
Main Passage: Micah 4:1-2

  1. In your daily life (e.g., workplace, family, financial management, or future planning), in which area are you most likely to treat God as an “annoying backseat driver,” feeling like “I’ve been doing this for years, I don’t need God’s interference”? What practical steps can we take to truly step down from the throne of being the main character of our own stories and allow God to fully take the wheel? (Micah 4:2)
  2. Based on the message, what do you think it looks like when someone merely “gets close to His presence” but “does not actually enter His authority”? Knowing that our jobs, time, and even our physical and mental health are all part of a “delegated responsibility (Stewardship)” given to us by God, how does this truth change your attitude toward your daily life and workplace from Monday to Saturday? (Genesis 1:26;Proverbs 3:5)
  3. When you hear the word “authority,” does your heart instinctively respond with resistance and defense, or with a sense of security? Facing the dead-end situations or insurmountable challenges that make you feel anxious, the message encourages us to “drop our guards and surrender within the perfect system of a good Father.” Which heavy burden are you willing to let go of and hand over to this heavenly Father today, so that you may draw real healing and hope from His authority? (Mark 10:42-43;Jeremiah 29:11)
