Matthew 20:19 (NKJV) And deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.”

Matthew 28:1(NKJV) Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary mentioned in this verse were the disciples of Christ. They had a love and passion for the Lord Jesus because they had experienced His love. This is especially true for Mary Magdalene who was set free from seven demons who possessed her. She experienced the power of the Lord Jesus’ ministry. Nobody was able to set her free from the demons except Jesus. She believed in the word of the Lord, His power and authority in the spiritual realm. She believed Jesus’ word about His resurrection on the third day! She came looking for her Lord and Master on the third day! That’s faith in action! She took her master’s word for it.

We need to practice living our lives based on His calling for us by consecrating our lives to Him. All of us will do different things or have different postings at different stage of our lives even within the company for internal posting. We should seek the Lord’s direction rather than just go with the flow. Once the Lord has spoken to us then we will be able to stand firm when something were to happen. We should also teach our children to do likewise so that they will be able to anchor their faith in God at a young age.

Faith in God is actually very simple although many of us struggle with it. Basically, if God has said, we the individual believe it then that settles it. We will not be moved by what we see, feel, hear, experience but chooses to stand on the word that God has spoken to us. The key is whether God has given us the promise through His word and has been journeying with us on certain matters pertaining to our lives. If yes, let us keep our eyes, heart and mind focused on the Lord and His promises to us. It is faith that’s help us to look forward with confidence that the future is good because it is in the hands of God. If no, then it is wise to seek His face for His will and direction for our lives. We can plan our future, but it is better for Him to direct our path because it is much better to lean on Him and rest in His love for us. Without faith, it is impossible to please God for whoever comes to Him must believe that HE IS and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
