Name Above Every Name

Ephesians 1:20-21(NKJV) which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
It was the prayer and the desire of the Apostle Paul for every believer to understand the power that’s in the name of Jesus. He told us that God the Father raised Jesus up and seated him at the right hand of the Father. There is spiritual warfare, and it is up to the believers who know the authority in the name of Jesus to enforce the victory.
Jesus is seated far above all principalities, dominion and might, and the devil is under His feet. His name is far above every name. Therefore, today, we have more authority and power in our prayer than in Daniel’s prayer in the Old Testament because we can command the demonic activities to submit under the name of Jesus. We rebuke and take authority through the vested authority given to us. There is tremendous power in Jesus’ name over any name, be it demon or disease, but we need to remember that healing takes time whereas miracles are instantaneous. Jesus’ name is far above every name. We need to exercise faith in His name, which has power in itself because of His accomplishments and conquests.
God has placed the devil under His feet. Because Jesus is a victor, all principalities and powers are subject to Him and to His name. The demonic forces only recognise and bow to one name—the name of Jesus. We do not pray in the name of Mary, James, Peter, or Paul because the name that’s recognised by God and the spiritual realm is the name of Jesus!
Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV) And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Nobody will use their own strength and natural abilities to overcome the work of the devil. We are merely enforcing the victory using the name of Jesus to instruct those defeated demons to retreat or be cast away from our premises, our environment, and our situations. Everything that we do including enforcing the victory is based on what the Scripture has revealed to us regarding our position in Christ and what Jesus has accomplished. Like how Jesus told Satan what was written in Scripture to resist and rebuke him, we are to do likewise through the Word regarding the conquests and accomplishments of Jesus Christ.
