Having Victory in Jesus
Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
John 14:8-11 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.11Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
Matthew 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Jesus healed all who were sick. Jesus solved all kinds of problems for people. This was revealing the Father’s will on earth. The same applies to us today. If the flaming arrow of sickness were to be shot at you, then you need to hold up the shied of faith to believe that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed! Hold up the shield of faith that you have a covenant God who will restore to you and all that belongs to Him is your entitlement in the covenant!
We need to stand firmly in Christ. We have to be established in the love of God, God’s character, the covenantal truth that He will not attack His covenant partner, which is the church. We need to make our stand clear in the midst of a “war zone” because the evil one will also cause you to have doubt about the Word. What we need is a strong conviction in our heart just like Abraham and other champions of faith. God has promised us great victory in many verses throughout the Scripture.
Jeremiah 29:11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.12Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
Matthew 6:30-32 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear? 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Romans 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us ALL things?
The fiery darts can be bursting in flame but when it hits the shield which is soaked with water, it will quench the fiery darts immediately. Water represents the Word of God! Your shield of faith is determined by what you believe. When God opens an opportunity to us, no one is able to close it. Therefore, if God is for us then nothing will be able to stop us. We have victory in Christ!
