His Anointing Will Be a Blessing
Luke 5:17 (NKJV) Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
The opening Scripture says that when the Lord was teaching, “the power of the Lord was present to heal them”. Jesus was present with them and He was teaching them, but at the same time, the power of the presence of the Lord was there to heal them. It is referring to His anointing.
His anointing can also be referred to as His manifested presence. It is in the anointing where burdens will be removed and the yoke will be broken. It is in this anointing and the manifested presence of God where people are healed, set free and ministered to because God in this grace and mercy reaches out to us.
Many things can and will happen in the manifested presence of God. Even though Luke was a medical doctor, he wasn’t too overwhelmed by his own intellectual mind but was humble enough to document that the presence of God was there to heal people.
We have read about Jesus going about ministering to the multitudes, the demon possessed and the sick. In this case, Luke talks about the presence of God healing people. Therefore, there are times when the presence of God or the anointing is present to minister to people, and when we find ourselves in God’s manifested presence, this is the time for us to reach out to God and receive what we need!
The manifested presence of God is a powerful witness to us all, demonstrating that God inhabits in the praise and worship of His people. In His manifested presence, people can be saved, healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, gifts of the Holy Spirit can manifest, people can be delivered from addictions and backsliders come back to the fold.
We cannot make these things happen by ourselves but God chooses to minister by His spirit through us. When the Lord was teaching, “the power of the Lord was present to heal them”. He was glorified through the healings and miraculous signs. Therefore, let us continue to desire and be in God’s manifested presence so that we can be a blessing to others because it is in this realm of the Spirit where the gifts of the Holy Spirit begin to manifest itself in the midst of us.
