I Am with You Always

Mark 16:20 (NKJV) And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Jesus’ love and compassion for the lost is recorded in all four Gospels. Just as God was partnering and confirming the preaching of the apostles and the disciples of Jesus’ days, we too are partnering with God in His pursuit for the lost, and He will be with us when we set forth to share the Gospel with someone.

The intent of the Abrahamic Covenant is for the all the families of the earth to be blessed even though He has chosen the Jewish people to be His covenant people. We have witnessed the heart of God through the Great Commission. His heart is always for the lost. The parable of the prodigal son shows us the love that the Father had towards the son who was lost. While He expected the elder son to help himself to all that he was entitled to in the family, he was always looking out for the return of the prodigal son. Likewise, God, the Heavenly Father is always looking out for those who are lost, but He does it through the body of Christ—the church. The triune God has the same love for the lost, and the Holy Spirit is doing the work of compelling us to urge unbelievers to be reconciled to God. It is also the work of the Holy Spirit to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. Therefore, the Holy Spirit will be present with us when we share the Gospel with others, and we will witness the work of the Holy Spirit even more in power evangelism when the sick is healed and demons cast out.

Matthew 28:20 (NKJV) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Jesus’ last commandment was to send all of us out to be His disciples for world evangelism. God has chosen to empower and commission all of us into the harvest field. He has given us His vested authority to push back the forces of darkness. Although we have the residence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we will experience the presence of God and His anointing upon our lives when we move out in obedience of the Great Commission.

God uses the above two passages of Scriptures to assure us that He will be partnering with us in outreach. Firstly, He has promised to be with us till the end of the age. Secondly, He will confirm the work of His workers through signs and wonders, where people are healed, set free from demonic possession and speak in new tongues.
